For four generations, the Toranos have been pioneers in the cultivation of the finest leaf. They are responsible for a slew of brands produced under their name as well as for helping in the production of blends for such companies as CAO and Gurkha. They own and operate factories in every major tobacco producing country in Central America including the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua.The Reserva Selecta is one of the more premium lines produced by the Torano Family. It is mild to medium-bodied with hints of wood and sweet cream. Each cigar is elegantly wrapped in cedar and encased in a glass tube. These cigars are as appealing to the eye as they are to the palate. Not cutting any corners, the Toranos use only three to five year old tobacco in the Reserva Selecta line, giving it a very settled, well rounded and balanced aroma. The three country filler is complimented by wrappers from Connecticut and Costa Rica giving this cigar complexity without a lot of strength and a short finish with hints of herbs.
